Worthy... or Nah?

First things first, YES YOU ARE WORTHY! Read that one more time. Say it out loud.

Believe it!

Self worth is the mindset you have about the value you place on yourself. Essentially, it is how much credit you give or don't give yourself for being an amazing, selfless, bomb, important, special person.

Realising your self worth is a tough journey especially with the influence other people have on us. Influence meaning how much we allow others body types, hair, assets, money or talent affect us negatively. This often leads us down the path of comparison and then we start questioning ourselves and our abilities.

Self worth is really knowing that you are worthy of great things. It starts with believing in yourself and knowing that you have the power to be great, succesful, happy and are deserving of every positive thing that comes your way.

For instance, take a look at your creator; the word says that He created us in His own image and likeness. Do you honestly think that you are less than eventhough you were created by the Most High? Let that sink in for a second. Answer is no! That's right because He also says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. So truly you are wonderful, perfect and extremely deserving.

The next time you start to question or doubt your worth, remember that you are a child of God and as such, you have to think positively and do better. Prayer is always the perfect way to go. Cast it all unto Him and allow Him to help you realise your worth.

When you receive love, learn how to accept it instead of questioning why you have so much love. When you are genuinely complimented by someone, receive it and believe it. Speak words of affirmation over your life and slowly, you will get to the point where you genuinely know your worth.

This will also allow you have control over how people treat you. When you realise your self worth, you will not allow people treat you poorly, disrespect you or break your confidence in anyway. Knowing your self worth will help you not settle for anything or anyone that is below the standard you have set. Honestly, self worth will help you get out of toxic situations and relationships because you'll no longer be in them just because your partner or signficant other gives you that feeling of worth but because you know you are worthy first. Knowing yourself worth will bring you so much joy.

Just take a moment today to analyze yourself and your life. Do you know your worth? Are you settling? Are you in a relationship because your partner makes you feel worthy or do you genuinely have self worth and know your value? Are you on the journey to realising your self worth?

Hopefully this post provokes you to think deeply about your life and your journey. I pray that each and everyone of us gets to the point where we know our self worth and know that we are worthy and deserving of every exceptional thing that comes our way. Amen.
